Fee Policy
At the Ludeman Law Firm, we understand that for most people, finding money to pay for an attorney is an unexpected expense. Consequently, hiring an attorney can be out of the reach for many. We believe that all people deserve access to the legal system, so we strive to be reasonable in our fees and provide as many ways as possible for our clients to pay for our services.

All fees depend on the individual circumstance of each client. The list below contains sample fees and is no guarantee the final agreed upon fee.

Flat Fees. In many cases we can quote a flat fee for our services. Please see our sample fees to the left. Flat fees will only be applied to cases where we can reasonably anticipate the costs of our services.
Hourly Fees. Why do lawyers charge by the hour? Primarily due to tradition, which is a hard habit to break. Hourly fees are not inherently too costly, but when clients are told that services cost anywhere from $200-$500 per hour, it is shocking to many.
Here at the Ludeman Law Firm, we only charge by the hour in very special cases. Most of these include litigation, where there is a chance that your case may go to trial. In such cases, there is no way to anticipate costs due to the adversarial nature of litigation.
Installation Payments. For the bulk of our services, we cannot accept payments in installations. However, we will discuss payment arrangements when and if you become a client. Total fees and other arrangements are unique to each client and will depend on the fee agreement between the client and the law firm. Please also see the Payments page.
